Tickets can now be booked for The Curious Savage by John Patrick, guest directed by Gerry Park and presented by Davenham Players. Paulette, our Hon Sec would normally write this email, but owing to her having the principal role (Ethel Savage) in the play, she is far too busy. In fact, you may well see several of the dp committee taking part in the production, just to show that we can act as well as serve behind the bar and sell tickets.

The play, described as a ‘comedy fable’ is suitable for all ages. It tells the story of a widow who has inherited millions from her husband and wants to give it away -  much to the distaste of her three adult stepchildren. What can she do to escape from the sanatorium into which they have committed her to stop her doing anything rash? Will the proud Savages get their hands on the money they consider to be theirs or will Ethel succeed in establishing a memorial to the husband she loved?
